These are great shots. Are they in L.A.? Which street? Also, some guy once told me that "Borderline" was L.A. because he came from there and vaguely recognized it. And where are the shots from "Open Your Heart" taken? L.A.? Street? I want to visit them on Google Maps. I've never been to L.A., so I can't recognize anything. Thanks for posting these!

ReplyDeleteFor Borderline, the bridges where she is dances are near 457 S Santa Fe Ave, the pool hall was at 6th & Lucas Streets.
The two featured La Isla Bonita apartments are at 1312 & 1318 Maryland Street in Los Angeles.
The Open Your Heart theatre was at the top of the empty lot at Toluca & Court Streets near Echo Park.
For What It Feels Like For A Girl, the old folks home is at 8746 W Olympic Blvd in Los Angeles, the bridge she drives over is the 6th Street bridge in Downtown Los Angeles, Johnnie’s Broiler is now at 7447 Firestone Blvd in Downey, the motel is at 1135 W 7th Street, the corner where she smashes into the car of thugs is at 7th & S Hill Streets, the ATM she robs is at 846 S Broadway, the gas station is near 500 S Alameda.
I know this is a few years old and all, however, was wondering if by chance you would know the location of the church in "La Isla Bonita." It's marked 0:31 on the vid. Just before the phase into sunset.
