Twister (1996)

Check out the all new Twister page on Set-Jetter.com!

These are actually my sister's photos on a recent work trip through Iowa.  This is the location of the finale of the film where the barn blew apart and Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt survived by simply belting themselves to a pipe and wishing away any debris from shredding them.   Sadly, the house looks the same as it did in the movie, but at one time, the owners had fixed it up nice and gave tours.   Seemingly abandoned now, it looks just as it did over a decade ago.

Universal Studios - 1985

Here's a little trip down memory lane from a family vacation to Los Angeles in 1985.   The Universal Studios tour hasn't changed all that much in some areas....

Here is town square that is actually still dressed from Back To The Future!   If you look carefully, the signs and the theatre were still the same...

The building's on fire!
Surprise, it's movie magic!

Jaws... this never gets old!

Ok, lies... it does...

All In The Family & The Jeffersons

On the Universal Tour in 1985, you were able to walk through some sets that were still up such as All In The Family and The Jeffersons...

Incredible Shrinking Woman (1981)

Check out the all-new filming locations entry for The Incredible Shrinking Woman at Set-Jetter.com!

Who doesn't love the Incredible Shrinking Woman???   These photos were taken at Universal Studios in 1985... I guess there was a time you could climb around all these props, where have they gone??

Ahhh... the shopping cart!

Psycho III (1986)

Check out the new PSYCHO III page at Set-Jetter.com

These are photos taken of the Psycho house and Bates Motel in the summer of 1985.  They were in the middle of filming Psycho III at the time, so this was the closest we could get.  Interesting to see how empty it was out there at the time... and yes, those are my lovely typed and taped on labels!

(For other entries click on the links for Psycho (1960), Psycho (1998), Bates Motel TV Series, and my Bates Motel bathroom.)

UPDATE November 2013: While up in Sierra Madre, I thought I would get some shots of the street Jeff Fahey crosses to go into the hotel bar...

Here's a panoramic shot....
