At this time, there's only been a handful of episodes of the new Bates Motel series, but so far I like it enough to keep watching. (For those interested, yes, I'm a Psycho fan and my bathroom is a "Bates Motel" bathroom, see here.) On my recent first trip to Vancouver, British Columbia, I decided to check out some of the locales...
The town of "White Pine Bay" is set in a couple of locations, the first is up in Horseshoe Bay, which was used several times in the second episode and most memorably for a death by the big propeller...

At the time of the visit, the show was on hiatus, so the motel and house were boarded up, but was still worth a visit...
