Freaky Friday (1976)

While I have been to many of the locations of the Freaky Friday 2003 remake, the only location I sought out from the original is the house below.....

UPDATE:  During my last visit I visited a few more locations.  First up is the street where the girls leave the diner to go catch up a bus.  The diner is no longer there, but the other buildings on the street still exist.

Across the street is the corner where they get on the bus...

During the car sequence, the intersection down from the bus stop is used.  The building on the left remains the same, the original diner on the right has changed....

And up further is another area by a thrift store used.... (yes, I was too lazy to get out of my car for this one!)

UPDATE April 2014: Finally got around to visiting the playing field....

  1. Thanks so much for doing the leg work and sharing your photos. This was a lot of fun to see.

  2. This is a great collection of filming locations. Do you have a policy of not posting addresses, though, or am I just not looking in the right place? What park is this, for example?

    1. No specific policy but more out of laziness! With my new website, www.Set-Jetter.com, I have included specific addresses throughout, but not update the blog retroactively. If there's anything you need, just let me know.

The house is located at 15456 Valley Vista Blvd in Sherman Oaks.

The diner/bus stop was near Riverside Drive and Forman Avenue in Studio City.

The thrift shop was at 3286 W Magnolia Blvd in Burbank.

The field was at a school located at 1616 Bank Street in South Pasadena.

    2. You're forgetting the San Diego (specifically Mission Bay) water scenes, and the LA River chase (but, that probably doesn't need pointing out).
PS....the "thrift store" comment above must be referring to a major chain up until a couple decades ago called Thrifty (now all are CVS stores).

    3. Not forgetting, these are just a few of the locations I have visited in person.
