The first Insidious blog entry has continued to be quite popular (click on the link for Insidious Chapter 3!). As soon as the producers started releasing production pics from the set of the sequel, I wanted to get out there and see it for myself, but instead, I had good friend and fellow Madonna lover, Heather Biede, grab some great pics of the new creepy house...
UPDATE: I visited the house myself, here are my shots....
Great pics by the production....

And the always fantastic Lin Shaye....
UPDATE: A reader asked about the Linda Vista Hospital location, which I have visited before. While I know they shot inside the abandoned hospital, I don't think they shot the exteriors there, check it out:

UPDATE September 2014: Was able to track down a few more locations including the park...

This next house was one of my favorite finds....

It looks like this house will also be used in Insidious Chapter 3....
The house from the final scene was the most elusive at first since they used a fake address, but was actually just behind the hospital....

That's pretty awesome and the film isn't even out yet. What's the address so I can check it out on my next trip?
ReplyDeleteIf you look closely, the address is right on the cement block - 5905 El Mio Drive in Los Angeles.
ReplyDeleteAlready a notorious horror film location... Spider Baby was filmed here! Also Silent Scream with Yvonne De Carlo.
ReplyDeleteyou missed one location, the hospital scenes were filmed at linda vista community hospital in Los angeles
ReplyDeleteDidn't miss it, just haven't been inside the hospital. I usually only post photos of locations I have actually visited.
