Entourage: The Series (2004-2011)
With the upcoming Entourage movie coming up, my friend Rayen was wanting to track down the locations from the opening title credits from the original HBO series. Although a lot of the shots are from pretty well-known Hollywood locales, there were a few shots like Kevin Connolly's billboard, Adrian Grenier's sign, and the final car shot that were a bit more difficult to track down. But with me late at night at my computer and Rayen in his car in Hollywood, we found them! Special thanks to Rayen for taking these pictures.
First up is Kevin Connolly's sign. Out of focus and not too many clues available, but I was able to find it at 8255 Sunset Boulevard.
Slightly tricky as they used a reverse print for the shot, Hollywood Liquor was used as the spot for Adrian Grenier's credit.
Some b-roll shot of the Hollywood car dealership.
Jerry Ferrara's credit is on the Viper Room on Sunset....
Kevin Dillon on the Seventh Veil...
The famous Cinerama is used for Perrey Reeves credit.
The Roxy stands in for Rex Lee's credit.
This tattoo parlor on Hollywood Boulevard is used for Jeremy Piven's credit.
Can't miss Mel's Drive In on Sunset Boulevard.
The iconic Whisky A Go Go....
And the final credit scene where the boys valet park is off of Hollywood & Highland....
And for some fun, here is the "And Jeremy Piven" club from Season 4 of Arrested Development....

Fear The Walking Dead
The spin-off of The Walking Dead is set in Los Angeles, but will be shot in Vancouver, go figure. After seeing the 15-second teaser, I was set to find the handful of locations used. First up are the houses next to the hospital. Thanks to Rayen for running out and grabbing these shots....

Next up is a green space off Sunset Boulevard. Although a tent is blocking the full view, you can recognize the buildings on the right. Thanks Rayen for grabbing this tonight!

Not sure about this last one, but it is likely filmed under the 6th Street bridge...

I'll be hitting up Vancouver later this year, so may have some more locations then!

Three's Company
For the most updated information, visit this location at Set-Jetter.com
I do enjoy a location challenge, so when Chas of ItsFilmedThere.com asked to help him and Owen from When Write Is Wrong to look for an elusive locale, I was up for it. The missing location was the "Hacienda Palms" apartments from the pilot episode of Three's Company. While John Ritter was firmly in place, but called David in this incarnation, the two female leads were played by Valerie Curtin and Suzanne Zenor. Audra Lindley and Norman Fell were also in place as the Ropers.
As for finding the location, there is not much to go on except some shots from the opening titles. My instinct was that it was likely near a cluster of bungalow apartments that I came across when looking for the location used in Autumn Leaves and Whatever Happened To Baby Jane. Although my instinct was right, it still took me a while and a convoluted path to finally track it down. The apartments are at 5154-5158-1/2 Fountain Avenue and remains relatively unchanged Special thanks to my buddy Rayen for grabbing these shots below....

Madonna: Like A Prayer album photo shoot
This latest Madonna location was a tough one. Herb Ritts did a photo shoot for the Like A Prayer album. All I knew was it was shot in a Los Angeles cemetery. I thought it was likely Hollywood Forever, but couldn't be sure.
I went through looking my old pictures and found this one....
And upon zooming in I found something that looked like it could be the bench....
I did some research and was able to confirm this was in fact the bench used for the photo shoot. And lucky for me, my buddy Rayen agreed to head out and photograph it for me the next day! (He rocks!) So here it is, the bench from the Like A Prayer album....
Thanks, Rayen!!
