Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011)

I went in to this one not expecting much, especially after Tim Burton's remake, but the film turned out surprisingly well and I look forward to the follow-up sequel.    Set in San Francisco, but shot mostly in Vancouver.

Up first, the Gen-Sys lab exteriors...

Surprisingly, it is right next to an amusement park as it shows in the film briefly...

James Franco and the neighbor's house in the film.   They obviously inserted a new window to better meet the narrative of the film....

    1. I don't think so, but I know Dawn of the Planet of the Apes did some actual shooting there.
