Back To The Future trilogy

Check out the new BACK TO THE FUTURE page at Set-Jetter.com

The main town square setting for the Back To The Future movies was Universal Studios (see blog here), but they still had a lot of location shooting.

Here is the high school used for the 1955 and 1985 scenes, found in Whittier....

Screenshots....

The back courtyard of the school was used as the parking lot for the dance....

Several of the houses are on the famous Bushnell Street in South Pasadena where many movies have been shot.

Here is Lorraine's house....

Biff's house....

George McFly's house...

Also in South Pasadena is Doc's house, better known as the Gamble House...

And here is where Marty left the 1985 version of Doc's house and hitched a ride on a car next to a Burger King in Burbank.....

The Lyons Estates signs and a stunt car are on permanent display at Universal Studios....

The town square has been the victim of several fires, but has since been redone.   Here is how it looked shortly after the 2008 fire...

The neighborhood and Marty McFly's house is up in Arleta....

Here is me and "Lorraine".... Lea Thompson at Sundance...

  1. The Toyota truck parked outside the Burger King looks similar to the one Marty McFly drove. I think that one is newer though, it appears to be the body style used after 1989.

  4. My favorite film series of all time. Here's a story, if you're interested, of my trip to find the set for part III. http://www.bttftour.com/locations/1885hillvalley/1885_special.html

  5. Bushnell Street is in South Pasadena...not Pasadena. South Pasadena is its own city, not just a part of Pasadena (as many think). :-)
