One of my favorite 80's comedies is Moving Violations. Although most don't seem familiar with the movie, it does have it's only little cult following. But let's get to some locations....
First up is the headquarters, which is in downtown Los Angeles...

I was able to track down James Keach's house in the film....

The parade went by this building in Long Beach...

This Long Beach intersection is also seen in the film....

And finally this stretch of road is seen late in the film, but I couldn't quite replicate the exact shot....
And finally, the DMV in the film is the Brea Conference Center. I have not been able to make it there myself, but my friend Shawn was able to take these great pictures and share them!
Don Cheadle!
Very cool.
ReplyDeleteI love this movie. I was an extra in it (I was one of the main three kids at the puppet show, pushing the cart down the hill). It also happens to be my favorite movie that I've ever worked on, and I've worked on hundreds, maybe even thousands.
ReplyDeleteI also live very close the the Donut Hole. It's been one of my health food hangouts for many a year, too.
Car Shop
ReplyDeleteWhere is the NASA location? The director doesn't even remember (at least back in 2004/2005).
ReplyDeleteGood question - were there any exterior shots or just interior? I can't remember offhand.
DeleteJust interior.
